Nala, the First of Our Pups

Nala is Kelly's puppy. Nala is one of the strangest dogs I have ever met. She came under our protection when she was 6 weeks old, which in hindsight was way too young and we could have avoided a lot of stress had we waited until she was even 7 weeks old. That being said, she is a great dog and does not lack in personality one bit. Nala is a blue merle Miniature Australian Shepherd, and an insane one at that. Since a young age, Nala and I have been practicing frisbee, she finally caught the frisbee when she was 11-weeks old, which in my opinion is pretty damn good. Now, her playing with the frisbee has become somewhat of an obsession with her. Kelly calls it her border collie obsession, even though she is not in fact a border collie or even a mix. Nala has beautiful iridescent blue eyes, which means that her eyes are light blue on the outside, and a deep dark blue just around the pupil. This makes it look like her pupils are huge all the time. Her eyes are also wide open the majority of the time, it seems - which in my opinion adds to her looking insane. Even though I go on and on about her looking and acting insane, she really is a great dog and would be very lost without her. Here is a video of her catching her frisbee for the first time, at 11-weeks old.

Nala is just over a year now, so this video was taken at the end of last summer (2013). I'll upload more videos in more blog posts of both the dogs.
