Two Halves Become a Whole

I still remember the day that I first saw Suna-bear. It was a relatively normal day. I worked, came home, rested and recollected a little bit. One thing was slightly off though, my girlfriend, Kelly, was a tad more excited than usual. Right as I was settling down to have some R & R, she came into our room and excitedly said that I needed to come to the office. I stood and followed her to the office to see what she was so excited about. On my computer screen were beautiful green piercing eyes. I fell in love at once. Those green eyes belonged to none other than my future dog, Suna. Suna is a red-tri male Miniature Australian Shepherd. Two weeks after Kelly showed me his picture, Suna was on a plane from St. Louis to Reno. The day I met Suna was extremely hectic. Aside from the fact that we were bringing yet another puppy into the house, it was the day of the LAX Shootings on November 1st, 2013. Unluckily for us and Suna, he was to fly through LAX that day. Luckily for us and Suna the flight he was on was diverted to Ontario. Suna finally arrived in Reno at 9:00 PM. When we finally met him, he was too scared to come out of his shipping crate. I reached in, pulled him out, hooked him up to a leash, set him down and he proceeded to wiggle like I have never seen anything wiggle before. I say wiggle and not wag, because in the United States Miniature Australian Shepherds have their tails docked. So Suna starts wiggling around and jumping like he was at a rodeo. The second thing I noticed about Suna was that he looked just like a tiny black bear cub! This is, of course where he gets his name Suna-bear.
